#LOSCABOS8

13-17 NOVEMBER

Robert De Niro, one of the most extraordinary actors in history, presented the Latin America premiere of The Irishman, by Martin Scorsese, at the Festival's Opening Gala. This was an edition in which new spaces dedicated to the visibility of women in the film industry were opened, through initiatives such as Fantastic Women and new sections such as HerStory, together with new panels such as Miradas Extraordinarias (extraordinary visions). We also collaborated with AMPAS (Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences) and welcomed its president David Rubin and its Director of Awards and Members, Lorenza Muñoz. The 2019 film program consisted of 42 national and international titles, of which 86% were premiered, with a total of 110 screenings.
